UserAuthGuard’s core product decides who can sign in to which Chromebook and never observes a student. This extension does observe students, during sessions a teacher starts, and only on devices a district has deliberately deployed it to as part of the paid Classroom & Safety add-on.

Device assignment and the sign-in lock are the core UserAuthGuard product, not this extension. The extension adds observation on top, and only where you deploy it.
